The Villa

The Villa is on a hill, 3km distance from Eretria town. So we have the privilege of a breathtaking view in the comfort of our privacy and still within a 5min drive to the town for the shops, cafes, taverns, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, etc. There you can also enjoy the sandy beaches while always having the convenience of returning to the Villa’s tranquility and pool’s bliss.

Villa Emmelia is a full-package experience, whether you like landscape diversity; beaches, mountains, ancient sights, cosmopolitan atmosphere, night life, or you just want to relax reading a book, having a drink under the stars, enjoying the sun, spoiling yourself poolside and being enchanted by the unique view in the comfort of your privacy in modern facilities.

The Villa combines functionality and harmony. It spreads in two levels, but due to the sloping terrain, both levels are “competing” for the scenic view. Including the independent Guest House it can easily accommodate 10 guests.

The Pool – Villa’s Crown Jewel

The overflow pool, which is the epicenter of the exterior, is ideal for endless playing and moments of relaxation. It’s equipped with a counter-current swimming system (jet stream) which is excellent either for exercise, a massage or just to have some fun.
You can cook your lunch or dinner poolside at the BBQ or the wooden oven and gather around the picnic table to enjoy it.

The Breathtaking View

The view is one the most priceless resources of the Villa, that could not be exaggerated and is truly valued only when experienced live. The VIlla’s unique placement on the hill, over Eretria’s ancient theater, gives the advantage of an extraordinary view. As many of the guests have mentioned in their reviews, the view cannot be captured by photos and the feeling of peace and serenity that it brings can only be experienced in person.

Villa Emmelia – overlooking the Attica and Evian coastline – features a stunning view highlighted during the day by the changing colors of the sea and at night by all the illuminated villages along the gulf, sparkling like precious jewels in the horizon.

Visible from the villa
• North side of the villa is the mountain Olympus of Euboea, which is part of the highest mountain range on the island called Dirfy. It has beautiful hiking trails and a breathtaking view of the Aegean.
• Holy Trinity, a small private island in the shape of a guitar. Thinking it was karmic, the legendary Beatles were excited and wanted to buy it when they visited it in 1967. At the time Beatles had a Greek partner and close friend – Alex Mardas (“Magic Alex” or Guru as they called him) – and Holy Trinity had many world famous guests.
• The neighboring Island of Dreams, is connected to Eretria with a small walk-bridge. A must visit for its natural beauty.
• Kolokythi island
• Aspronissi island, the “heart” of the Euboean gulf. It’s a heart-shaped island.

Each bedroom in the Villa has its own closet space but there’s also a separate walk-in closet room on the lower level. Also each bathroom has all the amenities included.

Baby amenities available.

The Guest House

The Guest House though it’s part of the Villa, it’s not interconnected. It has its own private entrance and outdoor sitting area and is gifted with direct access to the pool.

As Jerome has mentioned in his review:

The most difficult is probably to convince yourself to get out of the nest to visit the surroundings.

While in the Villa’s comfort, you’ll be mesmerized by the tranquility of the environment and the breathtaking view. It’s very tempting to stay and relax with your family and friends, perhaps that’s all you’re looking for from a successful vacation. However, Evia being the second biggest Greek island, the destinations are endless and Eretria has the advantage of being in the center of the island allowing easy access to most places. Evia is full of notable places to visit with a variety of scenery, rich history and landscape diversity.
