Evia is one of the most impressive Greek islands with its unique beauty, easily accessible and surprisingly affordable, looking out towards the Aegean sea and holding the whole of Greece within its shores. According to National Geographic’s “Journeys of a Lifetime” – Evia island is among the Top 10 international sailing destinations!
Evia is a seahorse-shaped island and it’s the second largest island of Greece, after Crete and the third largest in the eastern Mediterranean. Despite its size it’s almost invisible from the touristic brochures, as if the Greeks and especially the Athenians wanted to keep this gorgeous island for themselves. This makes Evia an unspoiled destination and an authentic Greek experience for the lucky visitors who explore it.

Evia has over 36 natural wetlands and is considered a migration corridor (Northern Europe – Africa) for birds, some of which are rare species. It’s an important botanical paradise, with rare species of herbs and flowers. Some of these are growing only in this region and nowhere else in the world. Some even have their names (in Latin) of the regions of Evia, where they were found.
